Lead Pastor

  Robert (Bob) King is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God. He was raised in a pastor’s home (Robert and Shirley) with two brothers (Joe and Glen) and became a Christian at the age of 6. Starting in the ministry at the age of 16, when he first received an Exhorter License. Pastor Bob met his wife Helen at a church his father pastored and Helen’s family attended. They were married in 1978. They attended East Coast Bible College before beginning in full time ministry. They have served in in various roles of ministry such as Pastor, Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor and Worship Leader in several states. They have also started one Christian School as well as serving as Administrator and teacher in Louisiana, Michigan and Kentucky. They have two adult children, William and Ruth. Pastor Bob has a degree in, of all things, Mortuary Science and is a Licensed Paramedic. Pastor Bob has a great passion to see our community evangelized, the spiritually injured healed and the church revived and empowered through the Holy Spirit to be effective Ambassadors for the Kingdom of God. Pastor Bob and Helen invites all who are seeking a Christian faith-based church home to come and join the fellowship of brothers and sisters at Life Church as we share God’s love and grace to the city of Nashville.
