Life Church was founded as the Meridian Street Church of God in the early 1930s. The church later moved to Broadmoor Drive where it became known as Broadmoor Church of God. In 2014 the name was changed to Life Church.
Over the years, the congregation has been blessed with great pastoral leaders, but in February of 2020, Dr. Randy and Kerry Turpin arrived to serve as lead pastors of Life. Only days after their arrival, Nashville was struck by a devastating tornado. Simultaneously, the world was threatened by the coronavirus. Together, the Turpin's and the Life Church congregation have embraced Christ's mission to administer God's love and grace to those who are hurting. At the time of composing this text, the "hurting" appears to be every community and family on the planet.
